The examples are almost too numerous to list: a disastrous war in Iraq; a ruinous financial crisis followed by a decade of anemic growth when most of the new wealth went to those who were already well off; a shambolic response to the deadliest pandemic in a century; a humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan; rising prices and interest rates; skyrocketing levels of public and private debt; surging rates of homelessness and the spread of tent encampments in American cities; undocumented migrants streaming over the southern border; spiking rates of gun violence, mental illness, depression, addiction, suicide, chronic illness and obesity, coupled with a decline in life expectancy.
That’s an awful lot of failure over the past 20-odd years. Yet for the most part, the people who run our institutions have done very little to acknowledge or take responsibility for any of it, let alone undertake reforms that aim to fix what’s broken. -NYT

Predictions are only predictions. There may be no future losses.
It seems to me that Japan’s theory of enemy base attack is also based on such an argument.
It is similar to the fraudulent financial system of buying futures and short selling, which is based on the premise of a free market (which is really a manipulated market) to somehow gain profits at the present time against uncertain future profits and losses.
It is just a misrepresentation by the power and business media of the current speculation that the public is being deprived of the price that they should be receiving in the future.
With Biden, the dichotomized American divide has deepened. With Trump, it is not surprising that the deep state-by-state divide will be manifested by libertarianism. Because every state in the United States will have great dissatisfaction with the United States.
Long gone are the days when states (and their residents) with different ideologies would pledge allegiance to the Star-Spangled Banner in unison for the sake of the war economy.
和平の話し合いによって将来どうなるか分からないことを、話し合いをアメリカNATOはしない。
AI予想などによって”あたかも起こる”ことと仮定して、その仮定の対応としてのテロや先制攻撃を正当化し、その仮定に基づき予想される将来の損失を抑えようとする、はじめから誤魔化しの理論だ。
予想はあくまで予想でしかない。将来の損失など無いかもしれないのだから。
日本の敵基地攻撃論などもそういう論拠で考えているように思える。
それは、あくまで自由市場（本当は操作市場だが）という前提で将来の不確定損益に対して、現時点でどうにか収益を得るために行われる先物買いや空売りという詐欺金融システムによく似ている。
国民が将来確実に受け取ることができるものがあるが、それをグローバル企業や金融、超富裕層が今搾取している。
その為の口実が戦争やテロだ。
将来、一般市民が受けるべき対価を、現在の投機によって奪われているのを権力や財界メディアが誤魔化しているだけのこと。
バイデンによって二分化されたアメリカの溝が深まった。トランプになればリバタリアニズムによって、州ごとの深い溝が顕在化するのは当然だ。合衆国のどの州も合衆国に対して大きな不満を持っているだろうから。
異なる思想を持つ州（の住民）が、戦争経済のために一丸となって星条旗に忠誠を誓うという時代はとうに過ぎ去っている。
日本はとうの昔から緩やかにウクライナでありガザであると知ることを日本の知識人は恐れているようだ。
