年金制度は5年ごとの財政検証で経済の状況や支え手の減少、受給者の増加など将来の見通しを立てた上で、適正な給付水準を算出することになっている。
2024年7月時点で厚労省が発表した数字では、基礎年金の水準が現時点より3割ほど下がる可能性が指摘されていたが、その問題への対策は今回の法案には盛り込まれていない。

昨年の総選挙で衆議院は自公与党が少数となった。自公政権と言っても戦後自民党政治、すなわち輸出大企業の利益最優先で対米従属の延長に過ぎない。国民大多数はこの政治を見限っている。
どうでもいいような情報が溢れかえる中、重要な問題が解決されず議論もされず、多くの国民は知らないまま忘れられていく。
